Chhavi Rajawat is India’s first and youngest village sarpanch with an MBA degree

When we hear the word Sarpanch first thing that comes to our mind is a man, Usually in villages Sarpanch Candidates are men, More than 96% maybe even more. It is so rare to see a woman to be a Sarpanch. Finding an educated woman sarpanch is like a dream.
Despite all these stats, Chhavi Rajawat became India’s first sarpanch with an MBA degree. After completion of her MBA she Worked for many big companies like Times Of India, Carlson Group of Hotels and Airtel.

After that she realised that she has to do something for her village Soda, where her roots are belonged to.So she decided that if she wants to Make a real difference, she has to go back to her Village which is in Tonk District,Rajasthan. There she became the sarpanch of that Village. She knew It is only the beginning of her real work, since then she has been working very hard to bring minimum facilities to the village like drinking water, proper sanitation, solar power, proper roads, and bank.

Even though she is an elected sarpanch she doesn’t represent any Political party. She succeeded in meeting the basic needs like drinking water and finished constructing 40 roads to her village. She started Swachh Bharat Campaign in her village even before our Prime Minister does,by taking villagers help she succeeded to  build around 800 toilets out of 900 houses in the Village of Soda.

Hope she contributes to her village more and she will become an Inspiration for many educated women.

Rajawat was honoured by late President of India APJ Abdul Kalam at the Technology Day function at New Delhi.

Chhavi Rajawat was honoured “Young Indian Leader” by IBNLive.
